Clare Corran has founded and led charities and social enterprises operating under real-world pressure. 

As a CEO and trustee, Clare has served on charitable and CIC boards, worked alongside local and national government, contributed to think tanks and "what works?" research, and supported 12 charities across the North West with performance improvement, governance, and operational redesign.

Her experience includes raising capital for and operating Ofsted-regulated children's homes, leading regional service-improvement programmes, and navigating governance across youth, care, social enterprise, and community sectors. Clare understands where strategy meets reality — and where good intentions can fail without disciplined execution.

She has secured and managed over £13 million from diverse funding sources, from philanthropy and statutory funding to sustainable earned-income models. She specialises in making complex, multi-funder initiatives work, translating capital into homes, centres, and services, and money into meaning.
